Welcome to the Transgenic and Gene Targeting Core Facility (TGT) at the University of Pittsburgh. The TGT is a resource for investigators at the University of Pittsburgh and its affiliated institutions. The services provided through this facility include generation of transgenic mice on C57BL6 or FVBN background, Electroporation of DNA and selection of gene targeted ES clones, Generation of KnockIn (KI) and KnockOut (KO) chimeric mice, and cryopreservation of mouse embryos for preservation of mouse lines.
Authorization is needed to obtain further information for the TGT. Log into the TGT website OR contact the TGT.
- You must have an HSConnect account to access the TGT website. These are the same accounts that are used for many applications within the University of Pittsburgh, Schools of the Health Sciences such as the Conflict of Interest Superform and the Research Practice Fundamentals modules.
- If you have an HSConnect account that has been validated by matching your Pitt profile, then please click here to connect to the TGT website.
- Individual HSConnect accounts are granted access to the TGT Web site by either automatic assignment, based on certain faculty/staff classifications within the Health Sciences, or by manual request for access from a sponsoring Principle Investigator.
